About Kamlesh
I'm Kamlesh Kaur, a counselling psychologist with over twelve years of experience helping people find clarity, resilience, and connection. My practice, The Listening Room, is a space free from judgement — where you can speak freely and be met with warmth.
I draw on integrative approaches including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques, tailoring each journey to the individual in front of me.
What I Offer
Each session is tailored to your needs. Here are the primary areas I work in — though you're welcome to reach out even if you don't see your concern listed.
Managing persistent worry, panic, overwhelm, and burnout with practical, evidence-based strategies that last.
Gently exploring the roots of low mood, hopelessness, and disconnection — and finding pathways back to yourself.
Compassionate support through bereavement, relationship endings, and the many forms loss can take in a life.
Individual therapy exploring patterns in relationships — with partners, family, colleagues, or yourself.
Trauma-informed, paced support for processing difficult past experiences using evidence-based approaches.
Navigating change — career shifts, identity questions, cultural pressures, or major life decisions — with clarity.
My Approach
From your first contact to ongoing sessions, every step is designed to feel safe, clear, and at your own pace.
A 20-minute call to discuss what brings you here, answer your questions, and see if we're a good fit — no obligation.
A dedicated first session to explore your background, concerns, and goals. We create a bespoke plan together.
Weekly or fortnightly sessions at a consistent time. In-person or via secure video call, your choice.
Regular check-ins on what's working. Therapy ends when you feel ready — on your terms, at your pace.

Kamlesh has an extraordinary ability to make you feel both challenged and completely safe. The Listening Room is exactly that — a room where I could finally listen to myself.
I was sceptical about therapy. Now I wish I'd started sooner. Kamlesh's warmth and expertise made all the difference. Highly recommend without hesitation.

Common Questions
Therapy can help anyone who wants to understand themselves better, manage difficulties, or simply have a private space to think. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit.
We'll talk about what's brought you to therapy, your background, and what you're hoping to get from our work together. It's also a chance to ask me anything you like.
This varies greatly. Some people benefit from 8–12 focused sessions; others prefer longer-term work. We'll review progress regularly and you're always in control of the pace.
Yes. Everything shared in sessions is confidential, in line with APA ethical guidelines. The only exceptions are rare safety situations, which I explain fully at the outset.
Yes — both in-person and online sessions are available. Online sessions are conducted via secure video call and are just as effective, with the added convenience of no travel time.
You can end therapy at any time. I ask for a week's notice where possible so we can have a proper ending — but there's never any obligation to continue beyond your own wishes.
